How to Play TAKXO
TAKXO is a two-player stacking strategy game. The top piece controls each square.
1 · PlacePut a piece on any square with room.You can play on an empty square or stack on an occupied one.
2 · TakeThe top piece owns the square.Stack over your opponent to take control. If self-stacking is enabled, you may also stack on your own piece.
3 · LockFill the stack to lock the square.In Standard TAKXO, a stack can hold three pieces. Once full, normal placements cannot change that square.
4 · WinComplete a full line across the board.Standard TAKXO uses a 4 × 4 board, so complete four top pieces horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
Why stacking matters
A square can change hands several times before it locks. Good TAKXO play is about deciding which squares to fight for, which ones to fortify, and when using the last space in a stack helps you—or your opponent.
